Your values can be the same your whole life or they can change over time. Even the values a family circle holds on to can change. We can have new values based on our daily experience. For instance, you can value ‘trust’ observing and experiencing the trust-based relationships between your family and friends. But one day your girlfried/boyfriend abuses your trust by having an affair with your best friend. From this painful experience you may think that you cannot trust anyone in the future although you used to value trust. Your value of trust in people have changed. However, a friend of yours understands you and help you to restore that value, you may be able to value trust again. Even so, your trust in others may be accompanied by some caustiousness.
